Haiku Generator

Originated from Japan, Haiku (俳句) is a short-versed poem traditionally written in three unrhymed lines. Haiku first emerged in the 17th century but it was not until the end of the 19th century when it was given its current name. Most haiku poems follow a 5-7-5 pattern, consisting of 17 syllables. Traditional haiku was restricted in subject matter to the depiction of the nature of a particular season or month. However, modern haiku writing is less constrained by the strict rules of the traditional haiku in terms of both form and subject matter.
